About myself:

Dr. Kreshimir N. Malitch, a Chief Researcher in the Institute of Geology and Geochemistry of the Uralian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, is a recognized expert in globally distributed zoned- and ophiolite-type ultramafic complexes, world-class Archean paleoplacers of the Witwatersrand Basin (South Africa) and Ni-Cu-PGE sulfide deposits associated with the ‘Noril'sk-type’ intrusions. Kreshimir's recent multi-disciplinary studies placed new constraints on the origin of mantle-derived ultramafic rocks and provided isotope-geochemical fingerprints to be used in exploration for Ni-Cu-PGE sulfide ores. Principle research interests include origin of ultramafic-mafic massifs and associated ore deposits, geochemistry and mineralogy of highly siderophile elements, isotope composition of the Earth's mantle.

Dr. Malitch received a Ph.D. in geology and mineralogy (1990) from Mining Institute, Leningrad, USSR. Kreshimir is a recipient of the Lise Meitner research award to outstanding foreign scholars from the Austrian Science Fund (1999-2001) and holds the title of an Honorary Research Fellow of Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia, http://www.ccfs.mq.edu.au). Dr. Malitch has been invited as a Guest Professor to University of Leoben, Austria (2002-2004) and University of Oulu, Finland (2009-2010). Publication record comprises over 360 publications, including four monographs, and 60 unpublished reports (five of which are substantial); h-index – 18 (Web of Science), 19 (Scopus), 25 (Google Scholar).
